Surprise Police have identified the suspect in this morning’s trespassing incident at Ottawa University, as 31-year old Steven Ziya.

Ziya, a resident of Sun City, is being booked into the Maricopa County 4th Avenue Jail on charges of trespassing, disruption of educational institution, and forgery for possessing an altered driver’s license.

At approximately 7 a.m., February 27, the Surprise Police Department responded to a report of a trespasser at the Ottawa University Campus (15950 N. Civic Center Plaza) who was behaving suspiciously. Officers made contact with the alleged trespasser, now identified as Steven Ziya, and detained him without incident.
