The first Regular City Council Meeting of the New Year included the swearing-in ceremonies for mayor and three councilmembers.
Skip Hall was sworn in as Mayor after winning the seat in the August Primary Election. He previously served as Mayor by appointment, following a mayoral resignation in November 2018.
Newly elected Councilmember Aly Cline was sworn in as District 2 Councilmember.
Re-elected Councilmember Patrick Duffy was sworn into office to serve District 3.
Re-elected Councilmember Ken Remley took the oath of office to serve District 4.
Each elected official was sworn in to a four-year term.
District 5 Councilmember Jack Hastings was sworn into office in November, per state law, after defeating an appointed councilmember for that district in the August Primary Election. He will serve a two-year term.

Council will select a Vice Mayor at the next regular Council meeting, scheduled for January 19 at 6 p.m. City Council meetings are televised on Surprise TV and streamed live on the internet at www.surpriseaz.gov/surprisetv.
