It’s March here in Surprise and you know what that means – Spring Training is here! City Council is excited to welcome back the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals as they kick off their season, and what better place to do so than at the number one Cactus League facility?
The 2019 Spring Training season runs through March 24, and tickets range anywhere from $8 to $45, depending on what section you choose. The box office is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. until the end of the season. Alternatively, tickets may be purchased on www.SurpriseStadium.com or by phone at 623-222-2222.
Surprise Fire Medical Station 303, located at 15440 N Cotton Lane, will be holding an open house on March 2 from 9 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Please come out and meet the firefighters and enjoy the tour and treats. For more information, please call 623-222-5000.
Start your morning off right by having Coffee with a Cop. This is an opportunity for residents to meet staff from Surprise Police Department in a neutral space to discuss community issues and build relationships. The event will be held on Thursday, March 14 at 19116 N Colonnade Way.
On March 27, the Arizona Broadway Theatre performs Mama Mia at the West Valley Arts HQ, the show time is 12:00 p.m. Tickets are $11.95 which can be reserved by calling 623-584-2626.
Mayor Skip Hall will be hosting the annual State of the City address with a celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the opening of our current City Hall. The event takes place Thursday, March 28 at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Following a video presentation, please join us in the outside courtyard of City Hall from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. for food, entertainment, games, a showcase of the city’s programs and services, and more!
